1980s Chanel Fuchsia Heavy Silk Blouse with Ruffle Collar
Made in Italy, this vibrant 1980s Chanel ruffle-neck blouse is an early design by Karl Lagerfeld. Cut with a flattering, body-skimming fit in panels and loose, wider cut sleeves. The fabric is eye-catching; a thick silk in bright fuchsia pink. The neckline is high and detailed with three layers of ruffles. It fastens at the back of the neck with two hidden silver-tone hook-and-eye clasps and hidden pink pearlescent buttons. The cuffs are gathered and sewn to be permanently turned up, each fastened with a gold-toned CC logo button. The shirt is unlined.
This elegant top is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws - the perfect addition to a Chanel collector’s archive. We purchased this top as part of an early Chanel collection from the original vendor with all garments dating from the period 1982 - 1990. Labelled a vintage French 40, it is true to size in our opinion and a best fit a UK size 10-12, US 6-8 or smaller. Our model is a UK 8-10 US 4-6 and 5'9". This blouse looked great on her with some room to spare.
